Overview
Chanting is the core solo kiting style for bards — layering targeted DoT songs on a single mob while keeping it snared or feared. Unlike PBAoE swarming, chanting works cleanly on one target at a time and avoids group XP penalties.
Songs
Largo's Melodic Binding
Snare. Preferred kiting tool. Primary kite control song — keeping this up on your target is the foundation of any chanting rotation.
Angstlich's Appalling Screech
PBAoE fear. Sends nearby mobs fleeing. Useful for breaking aggro or creating distance when a pull goes wrong or you need a moment to reposition.
Chant of Flame
Fire DoT. First targeted damage-over-time. Core of early solo kiting — apply this and keep the mob snared while it ticks down.
Chant of Frost
Cold DoT. Pairs with Chant of Flame for dual-element kiting. Some mobs resist one but not the other, making both songs essential for consistent damage across different zones.
